Bernese Mountain Dog - COBI

Cobi Sierra Kurtz

Spayed Female

Bernese Mountain Dog

Color: Black, white, and rust

Age: 2.5

Hair: Long Markings/ Distinguishing Characteristics

Extremely good temperament – great with kids and cat. Wonderful full Bernese colors; many commands (come, sit, stay, down, “five” shake, other-paw, bed, “potty”) --- Cobi is slightly over weight currently due to lack of exercise (dad’s fault really).

Current Living Conditions
Indoors, but loves the outdoors – including snow
Housebroke
Working hours as long as 12 hours and she does not soil the house – she tries very hard.

Story
Cobi is a great dog and I want to keep her, but my work has changed to where she spends much of every day alone. My oldest son is moved out taking his cat, Cobi’s friend Cohl, with him. This leaves Cobi at home alone for too long each day, six days every week.

Piper

Name: Judy Schulte
Age/Breed: 9 year old Beagle
up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped
no health issues
Financial problems, moving into an apartment, she would be miserable in an apartment.

I'd appreciate help finding a new home for my beagle. I have agonized over this - especially considering her age - and can't find a way around it short of euthanization. Even if I could afford an apartment that allowed dogs, and the extra charges, she would most likely bark while I was gone and get me in trouble. We lived in an apartment briefly before and it was a real problem. I have a few months before I have to move. I'd prefer to be contacted by email.

Piper is a 9 year old female beagle. Circumstances beyond my control are forcing me to give her up for adoption. She’s still got a lot of life and energy left in her.

Piper is up to date on shots, has a microchip, & is spayed. She is slender and in good health; 14 inches tall & weighs about 30 pounds.

She is very loving and adorable. She minds pretty well & is quiet most of the time. The only time she barks excessively is when she is left alone for any length of time. Piper is good with other dogs, but not cats or other small pets. I prefer a home with another dog &/or someone home most of the time. She was raised around children, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable placing her with anyone younger than 7 years old in the house.

She is crate-trained, housetrained, but she has had an occasional accident when I failed to let her out in time, but she's pretty good at letting me know she needs out. She either yips if she's in her kennel, or jumps on me. I strongly encourage crating when left alone. She loves to seek out food when no one is around - even in the trash. She has acquired the ability to climb a 3 ft chain link fence, but we used to have a 3 foot wooden fence, and she never escaped that yard.

Piper needs another dog as companion, or at least a human who's home most of the time. She also requires proper containment - either a wooden fence, enclosed kennel or a cable line to keep her from running off.

I’m asking a $50 adoption fee to assure her a good home. The most important reason I will only adopt locally is that I insist on visiting the home of potential adopters. Then the first month will be a trial period to make sure it is a good match.

If you think she'll be a good match to your family, please contact me at jetamio2 @ sbcglobal.net View Piper's Dance Video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=sV5SnMDkmVo

Rest in Peace Sammy

Sammy was euthanized by his owners, sweet dreams Sammy.

Sammy needs a home too. He is a yellow-lab mix and is about 2 years old. He is neutered, housetrained and loves to go for walks. He would be best in a home without cats or small kids. He is a very sweet guy but can jump a fence if given the opportunity.

Little Black Dog - Rest in Peace Sweetie

This is the saddest story. This little guy's teeth were really bad and he ended up having to have a bunch of teeth pulled. During surgery his jaw was broken. He ended up being put down 4 days after the surgery.

This little black dog was found tied to a fence at the park, spent a week in a shelter and was saved from euthanasia last week. He is staying with some very nice people who are fostering him but unable to keep him permanently, and now he's looking for a retirement home. He is a very sweet little guy and gets along well with others.
